The Count Down : The Strong Survives

This year's Phy practical exam will be carried out in two shifts starting 3.15 pm on Wed 14/5/08.

1st shift students should be in the lab area latest by 3.00 pm. Your exam starts at 3.15 and the change-over will be at 3.55 pm but you must finish your expt by 3.50 pm. Your exam will be over by 4.45 pm but you will be quarantined until 7.00 pm

2nd shift students should report to room C209 latest by 5.00 pm. Your attendance will be taken and you only go to the lab at around 5.15 pm. Your exam starts at 5.30 pm and the change-over is at 6.10 pm, but again you must finish your expt by 6.05 pm.Your whole exam will be over by 7.00 pm.

For this exam, voltmeter readings will be up to 2 decimals whereas the mA readings will have no decimal place. Use the range/R hold button to change the decimal point or to change from mV to V.

Remember:- If two components are connected in series, then the current is the same for both of them. If they are connected in parallel, then their p.d. (potential difference, not "port dickson") must be the same.

Answer what is being asked. If you are asked to observe what happened to ice-cube when it is heated, then you can't possibly see that the molecules are moved further apart. You can only "observe" that ice-cube is melting. (Just an illustration, I am saying this is coming out )
Make sure you know how to solve moment problems, especially involving non-parallel forces
Some of you are still worried about % uncertainty in difference. Well, my advice is :- if you are still confused by it, might as well forget it for the time being. If you insist to put too much pressure on yourself, you might end up forgetting your own candidate no or wondering why you are sitting in chemistry lab doing Physics experiment..
